Forestry
Mulching

The fastest, cleanest, and most cost-effective way to clear land in Northern Ontario. No burning. No hauling. Just results.

One Machine.
Complete Clearing.

Forestry mulching uses a single specialized machine equipped with a high-speed rotating drum fitted with carbide teeth. The machine drives through trees, brush, and stumps — grinding everything into a fine mulch layer that is left on the ground.

Unlike traditional land clearing — which involves felling trees, skidding logs, piling debris, and burning — mulching accomplishes the entire process in a single pass. The result is a cleared site with a natural mulch ground cover that suppresses weeds, retains moisture, and prevents erosion.

CXS operates mulching equipment capable of clearing trees up to 12 inches in diameter, making it ideal for the dense boreal forest conditions found throughout Northern Ontario.

The Advantages of
Forestry Mulching

No Burning Required

Mulching eliminates the need for open burning — no smoke, no fire permits, no air quality concerns.

No Hauling Costs

Material is ground in-place and left as a natural mulch layer, eliminating costly debris hauling.

Built-In Erosion Control

The mulch layer left behind stabilizes the soil and prevents erosion — especially valuable on slopes.

Faster Completion

Mulching is significantly faster than cut-and-haul methods, reducing your project timeline.

Environmentally Responsible

No burning, no chemicals, no waste. The mulch layer returns organic matter to the soil naturally.

All-Season Operation

Our mulchers operate year-round in Northern Ontario conditions, including winter clearing.
